Zagros is a system formed of a collection of advanced software that, together, can :
►
Protect X-ray images from loss for any reason
►
Allow the patients to view their images
►
Allow the doctors to view images from any of the modalities through one software
This system, in its current release, is composed mainly of ZLink and three other programs that provide special additional functionalities, that will be described later
Main features of the Zagros system
►
Full protection of images at four levels:
■
Against database corruption
■
Against operating system failure
■
Against hard disk damage
■
Against deleting files from the entire system
►
Immediately copying and saving each image separately
►
Ensuring that work does not stop if the main server fails by adding an emergency server
►
Saving images from various modalities, such as X-ray, CT, panorama, etc
►
Allowing the doctor to choose his favorite DICOM viewer
►
Encrypting backups to keep the patients' data secure
►
Working efficiently on average desktop computers
►
Technical support is done mostly remotely in the shortest time when needed
►
Restoring data in about an hour in case of an emergency

ZLink is technically a server program for x-ray images where images are transferred to it from the modalities via LAN right after they are captured where they are stored. Thus, ZLink becomes the main source of images, providing images internally to medical staff and specialists for diagnosis, or externally to patients to browse their own images (optional).
The smart design of the ZLink software allows the addition of a parallel emergency server on the network that always keeps the same images. This allows work to continue without interruption even if the main image server is damaged and unusable. ZLink automatically provides the first two levels of protection for images:
■
Against database corruption
■
Against operating system failure
If the hospital doesn’t have a backup image server, it’s highly advised to use either of the backup software, ZClone or ZVault, to achieve maximum image protection in case of server/hardware failure
ZLink
ZClone
Zagros new image server
An encrypted backup saved to the cloud (optional)
ZClone is one of the constituent software applications of the Zagros system. It automatically makes a backup of each image when it is posted to the system on a local PC or on a network storage. ZClone achieves the third level of image protection. I.e. against hard disk failure.
ZVault is a backup software application that stores an immediate encrypted backup copy of each fresh image to the cloud. When needed, we can retrieve the images form the cloud backup and upload it again to the database. ZVault implements the third and fourth levels of image protections. I.e. protection against hard disk failure and against the total deletion of files from the local system and its local backups.

ZView

A patient remotely viewing his images on his mobile
ZView is an optional software that enables patients to access their images and view them on their mobiles, similar to systems in major hospitals. ZView doesn’t require uploading the database to the cloud. This is one of the major benefits of ZView because:
►
Doctors can locally view the images in the quickest possible way
